Ricciwee Menswear Product Copy
Brand new menswear label, Ricciwee launching in Netherlands, asked me to write up their first five collections’ copy. This high fashion clothing brand merges Eastern and Western styles through design techniques, print and colors.
So, as you can imagine, their copy brief was to take huge inspiration from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Maison Margiela and Bottega Veneta, to provide honest, professional and grounded product descriptions to echo the high quality they offer in their everyday pieces.
Whilst there were many product descriptions, I’m sharing a few of my favourites. I also named all of the products too!
Roadrunner Drawstring Trousers
Beige polyester trousers featuring a statement elastic waistband, synonymous with those on sweatpants. The trousers have an external, oversized drawstring, a concealed zip fly and are cut into a straight leg, with a central, neatly pressed pleat. A contrasting white side panel finishes the trousers, which skim the ankle for contemporary comfort.
Huntsman Tunic
Forest green satin-like tunic featuring a contrasting cream lace detail that crosses through the torso. An oversized shape is engineered through balloon sleeves, a straight cut hem and a traditional navy-inspired collar, crafted with military precision. The huntsman tunic is completed with large buttons that expose a statement, large V-neck.
Bounty Gilet
The Bounty gilet plays with multiple textures through an accentuated V-neck and exaggerated strap detailing. Crafted from PU, this faux leather, khaki piece is cut to be oversized through dropped arms and cross-over lapels. Asymmetric pockets, an asymmetric silhouette and a tonal ivory lining complete the gilet, made for layering.
Fantasy Polo Sweatshirt
A reimagination of a wardrobe staple, the Fantasy polo sweatshirt is crafted from oversized black polyester and is filled with fond details. With a tri-band collar, large button fastening and cuffs, the white design emulates those found in traditional polos. Finished with a multi-layered sweatshirt collar which lies adjacently on the chest.
Luster Cropped Vest
Vibrant knitted vest, cropped for a new dimension of outfit layering. Its playful green tone is contrasted with a classic black stitch throughout, including a paneling across the V-neck and sleeves. Shaped into a nonchalant, boxy silhouette, that’s cut at the hem, the Luster is sleeveless and completed with dropped armholes.
Flora Shirt
The smooth Flora shirt is crafted from a cotton blend in vintage peach tone. Its oversized silhouette is complemented with large, symmetrical flap pockets on the chest, concealed fastenings down the center and a small V-neck with minimal lapels. The shirt is adorned with gold floral buttons on the pockets and cuffs.
Bewitch Velvet Trousers
Rendered in velvet for a retro aesthetic, the Bewitch trousers are enhanced with subtle double-knife pleats and a straight leg silhouette. Grazing at the ankle, these tapered trousers have turn-up cuffs, corduroy-inspired creases and a high waist. Finished with a concealed zip, belt loops, back pockets and minimal button fastening.
Counterpoint Jacket
Workwear elegance is redefined through the counterpoint jacket, with its tactical pattern clash. This bold black piece is contrasted with charcoal pinstripe panels on the front and back, emulating a waistcoat look. Its oversized fit is complemented with a single breasted fastening, slightly curved hem and structured shoulders. Pair with the accompanying trousers.
Commander Roll Neck Sweater
An elevation on a wardrobe staple, the Commander roll-neck sweater is a base layer filled with expression. It’s crafted from minimal white cotton and shaped into an oversized silhouette, for a relaxed fit. This classic polo neck piece is adorned with a single, chunky leather black strap, clean-cut hem and elongated sleeves.
Cruiser Checked Wool Jacket
Refined for winter layering is the chocolate Cruiser checked wool jacket. Shaped to a clean, relaxed silhouette, this jacket is accentuated through contrasted stitching, a statement patch-like pocket on the chest, a bold point collar and horn button fastenings. Finished with oversized sleeves and large splits at the cuff.
Prism Biker Jacket
Taking the biker jacket for a colourful ride is Ricciewee’s Prism. Crafted from soft PU; this jacket infuses auto-racing influences through its block colour trims on the shoulders, zip pockets on the chest and silver-tone pop fastenings down the middle and cuffs. Fitted to an oversized silhouette, the jacket is finished with a central concealed zip and exaggerated collar.
Hepburn Wool Coat
A blend of textures and fabrics is celebrated through the Hepburn coat. Crafted from soft white wool, this piece takes shape into an oversized, single-breasted silhouette, with structured shoulders and a thigh-length hem. Details are considered throughout, including the contrasting black leather point collar, multi-layered lapels and generously proportioned pockets on the waist and chest.
Nevis Harrington Trousers
Patterned with black, white, brown and green checks, the Nevis trousers add a linear aesthetic to any wardrobe. Fashioned from a cotton and polyester blend, these trousers offer a statement crop, complemented with an exaggerated turn-up cuff, a straight leg cut and a two slit pockets to the side. Pair with the accompanying jacket.
Bijou Faux Fur Bag
Statement in construction and design, the Bijou bag makes a bold addition to any outfit. Crafted from faux fur, this cow print inspired design is made into a rectangular shape towards the bottom, whilst being cinched in at the top. It’s slender and lightweight construction is elevated with a metallic, double-chain strap.
Kaleidoscope Multi-coloured T-Shirt
A fortitude of fabrication and colour combinations make the Kaleidoscope t-shirt a spectacle, with its multi-coloured stripes that fall horizontally down the chest. With a relaxed silhouette, this t-shirt is accompanied with tactical waist splits, large cuffs and a subtle roll neck, to allow effortless styling. Pair with accompanying trousers.
Uniform Trousers
For a timeless piece which transcends seasons and trends, look to the Uniform trousers. In grey terry rayon textures, these trousers are tapered into a straight leg and accentuated through neatly pressed pleats. Comfortable yet refined, the trousers subvert expectations through an angular zip fastening and one-sided brace detailing from the waist.
Signature Logo Baseball Cap
Our Signature logo baseball cap is crafted in a crisp, white cotton hue and hallmarked with a multi-coloured appliqué logo. Structured into a classic six-panel silhouette, the cap is completed with a Velcro strap, chunky visor stitches, top button detail and an oversized sandwich brim.
Jordan Signature T-shirt
Add a playful element to your trans-seasonal wardrobe with the black Jordan T-shirt with a handwritten Ricciwee signature. A multitude of textures and layering are found through this lightweight cotton blend, including two chunky stitch hems and a mesh layer for enhanced breathability. Finished with a ribbed neckline to compliment the relaxed silhouette.
